Decide the place to visit and route
Before starting to drive, it’s better to decide the place to visit and route to drive efficiently.
You need to make sure where the place is, and mark it on the map to make your route.
Check where the gas station is!
Almost of the restaurants, souvenir shops and accommodations are in the city; south side of Ishigaki. Gas stations are same.
Before going to outside of the city, you should check how much gasoline you have and where the nearest gas station is.

If you are interested in local music in Okinawa, we recommend you to buy the CDs in souvenir shops or listen to the radio in Ishigaki; “Sansan-Radio”, FM76.1Mhz.
Buy your lunch and take them at the beach!
You may want to take a lunch at the beach; of course it’s nice!
Buy them at a convenience store or lunch-box shop.
They treat some kinds of local food, try it!
Make a reservation for your dinner
Sometimes it’s difficult to take your seat in the restaurants, especially in summer, not in the city or famous one.
What you need to do is making a reservation when you decide which restaurant to go; read the guide book or ask someone.
You can call them from 17 p.m.
1)The map of parking in the city
You must not to park your car on the road; the policemen are checking severely!
Because most of the restaurants don’t have their own parking, make sure where the coin parking is.
Finally
After all, we have some requests for you.
First, be careful for the wild creatures in Ishigaki.; we have White-breasted Waterhen(Amaurornis phoenicurus), Yellow-marginated box turtle(Cuora flavomarginata); Natural treasure, Crested serpent eagle (Spilornis cheela), Coconut crab (Birgus latro), goats, cows and so on.
They are killed by driver very often, please don’t hurt them!
Second, some of local people drive very slowly and all they want to do; suddenly they turn without any signals!!
Please pay attention not to hit to them.
Third, we hear some of rent-a-car has been driving so fast!
It’s not necessary to be hurry; you have enough time to go around Ishigaki.
